Having a sight test is not only about checking to see whether you need glasses, but to also check the overall health of your eyes. A thorough eye examination will pick up on any potential problems such as diabetic eye changes, glaucoma, cataracts and age related macular degeneration.
It is important that any potential problems are picked up sooner rather than later so that we can refer you to the relevant specialist as soon as possible. It is therefore very important to make sure you book a sight test even if you feel as if your vision has not changed.
During the sight test, your optician will discuss any health findings with you and if you need to change your glasses to help you see better. Your optician will talk you through all the different lenses and the benefits of each one.
You can also try on our wide range of glasses and your optician will be able to assist you in finding a pair of glasses that not only look nice but fit your face and feel comfortable to wear.
Once your glasses are ready we will visit your home and make sure the vision in the glasses is helping you see better. We will also make sure the glasses are comfortable and fit you properly. this service is free of charge.
Once you have purchased your glasses from us, you will receive free aftercare for a whole year. If you have any problem with your glasses, Please contact our team and they will be more than happy to help.
As well as providing eye tests in the home, we also provide our services within care homes, residential and sheltered housing. Our opticians have been trained to carry out eye sight examinations in care homes, with care and sensitivity and to adapt each test in accordance with the individuals needs.
We aim to carry out our eye health services as efficiently as possible to avoid any disruption to the patients, as well as the staff. We promise to carry out eye tests at times convenient to the care home, avoiding meal times. We will also make sure we do all the paperwork and try and keep the experience as hassle-free as possible.
